The Door Skin business has been around for most of this period in
fact essentially from the introduction of the PVC Door panel as a
concept. Thermovac Plastics Ltd prides itself on being a truly
independent producer of Door skins. Thermovac supplies skins only
while other suppliers of skins also produce their own panels and are
effectively competing for the same door panel business.

Thermovac also has the very essential duplication of each piece of
machinery so as to have back up in the event of those inevitable
machine breakdowns. We have two vacuum formers devoted to PVC
Door skins, two roller cutters for edge trimming and two travel head
presses for glass aperture stamping. There are some 50 different
tool designs in all. The very latest addition to our range of Door skins
is a suite of tools designed for the Composite Door market.

Composites are seen as a big part of the future of the Door market.
